Editor’s note: From time to time on Peace Corps Worldwide, we share announcements from other organizations that we think will be of interest to our community. Today we are passing on an invitation to a Zoom event for Returned Peace Corps Volunteers co-hosted by Kate Raftery (Paraguay 1973-77) and Ted Ahlers at Force Multiplier. If you have feedback or a notice to share, please let us know by replying to any of our emails.
Are you looking for ways to meaningfully engage to defend our democracy and to elect Senate and House candidates who will stand up for our rights, fight for policies that benefit all Americans, and defend the rule of law and the Constitution? If you're like me, you may be seeking clarity on what you can actually do to have the biggest impact on the challenges we currently face.
Kate Raftery (Paraguay 1973-77) and Ted Ahlers (Force Multiplier) invite you to a one-hour Zoom information session for Returned Peace Corps Volunteers to learn about Force Multiplier, an organization focused on maximizing the impact of your actions by helping you make strategic investments of time and resources in federal candidates and in groups that defend democracy, take actions to impact concrete change, and ensure that people can and do vote.
Tuesday, June 17th
7:00pm ET
Force Multiplier is an all-volunteer organization that helps concerned citizens target their civic actions and political contributions where they can have the greatest impact on democratic outcomes.
They do the research so you don't have to.
This will be an information session only - NOT a fundraiser. Force Multiplier leaders will explain their approach and answer your questions.
Force Multiplier focuses on identifying key Congressional races that could tip the balance of power, supporting organizations that protect constitutional principles and democratic institutions, and highlighting effective civic actions we can take every day.
For details about their strategy and track record, see their website: forcemultiplierus.org.
Civic engagement is the foundation of a healthy democracy. Here are two actions you can take right now:
Mark your calendar for Tuesday, June 17th at 7:00pm ET; AND forward this invitation to anyone you think might be interested. Many people are looking for meaningful ways to participate in our democratic process.
